Beers will show as "Sold Out" until the presale goes live.
Important Pick Up Info
Kooks get to order both of the public beer releases for the week early. However, the beers in the second release of the week may not be ready to pick up until the public release day on Sunday. If you’re picking up in the taproom and you want to pick up your Thursday-release beer on Thursday, make 2 separate orders. If you order beers from both releases in one order, you cannot pick up the beers until Sunday (we don't allow partial pickups).
If you're ordering for delivery or shipping, feel free to bundle everything into one order.

How far in advance do I have access to beers before they go live to the public?
Do I have early access to everything?
No. Generally, we do not provide a presale window to Kooks for Hop Box subscriptions or Super Boxes.
What if I forget to order beer in the presale?
If you forget to order in the Kooks presale, you will have to order in the public sale for any beers that you want to buy that week. You will still be able to use your discount, but all beers will be first come, first serve.
Do the presales always fall on the same days of the week?
We try to keep the presale windows fairly consistent. However, on occasion, the days will need to shift.
How will I know if the days change?
You’ll be notified by email, through the Kooks Facebook group, and on the Kooks Portal what the presale dates are for each week.
Where do I order for presale?
All presale orders take place through the Kooks Portal at https://humblesea.com/collections/kooks
Are there limits on beers for Kooks?
Sometimes. We try to give Kooks the opportunity to order most beers without limit. On occasion, we reserve the right to impose reasonable limits on very popular beers or small-batch beers (ie: Super Pops, TIPAs, and barrel-aged stouts)
If there is a production delay, where do I check for the latest information, including pickup timelines?
On occasion, we have unexpected delays that arise after the Kooks presale email has been sent. For the most up to date information, please check the Kooks Portal.
Can I share the Kooks Portal password with a friend?
No. Sharing the Kooks Portal password with anyone who isn’t a 2021 Kook is terms for removal from the club.
Can I order beer for a friend during the Kooks presale?
Yes, if you use your payment info (ie: it’s a gift)
What if I need to make a change to my order?
Please see the order change section below.
How long do I have to pick up public release beers that I bought in the Kooks presale?
You have one week to pick up public release beers.This is one week from the date it was released to the public, not one week from the date you placed the order. If you have questions on pickup deadlines, you can reference the dates on the Kooks Portal or in your weekly email.
How long do I have to pick up Kooks Club member-only bottle releases?
You have 30 days to pick up member releases. After that timeframe, we will charge $14 to have the bottles shipped to you instead. Please email us before the deadline to arrange for shipping if you know you or your proxy can't make it in time.
What if I can’t make it in time to pick up my beer?
Under extenuating circumstances, we will allow some leeway with pickup deadlines. This is only allowed if you’ve emailed email@example.com before the deadline has passed. Depending on the situation and length of extension request, we may offer to ship the order for a fee rather than allowing extra time to pick up.
What if I miss my pickup deadline?
If you miss the pickup deadline don’t give us any heads up about it, your beer will likely be resold. If you come in to try and pick up late, we’ll allow you to pick up whatever from your order is still in stock and refund the rest of the order.
What do I need or what does my proxy need to pick up in person?
Please make sure you or your proxy has your order number ready when picking up, and please let the bar know at the beginning of your transaction that the order is for a Kook.
I had an issue picking up at the bar. What should I do?
Please be polite to our bartenders. If they’re unable to help you in some way or make a mistake, please handle it by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org rather than sorting it out in person if the bartenders are super busy or unable to accommodate you.
What is my discount as a Kook?
Kooks are given 10% off of almost everything.
Where does my discount work?
The discount works both online and in the taproom.
Are there any exclusions?
The discount does not apply to subscription boxes, gift cards, or items that are already discounted (ie: $5 Monday)
How do I use my discount?
If you’re purchasing in person, please let the bartender know at the start of the transaction that you are a Kook. If your tab has been closed and a new one opened, do not assume that they will remember to add the discount again. Please remind them. If you’re purchasing online, enter your discount code at checkout. The current code is: iamakook2021
Are there any other discounts?
Kooks will be given 15% off private party bookings at our taproom provided that we are able to host them with COVID restrictions in 2021.
Can I share my discount?
No. Sharing a discount code with anyone who isn’t a 2021 Kook is grounds for removal from the club.
How do I designate a proxy?
You can designate your 2021 proxy by emailing email@example.com. Please give us three days notice before sending your proxy to pick up orders for you for the first time, so that we can update our list for the bar.
How many proxies am I allowed?
You are allowed one proxy for the entire year.
Can I change my proxy?
Under certain circumstances (ie: your proxy moved out of the area) we will allow you to update your proxy. Please give us three days notice before sending a new proxy to pick up for you, so that we can update our list for the bar.
What if someone other than my proxy needs to pick up for me?
This is done on a case by case basis and allowed in rare circumstances. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with requests. However, we’ll likely ask you to have your beer shipped instead or offer to refund your order.
Member-only Release Bottles
How many member bottle releases are there?
There are six Kooks Club member releases throughout the year.
How many bottles do I get per release?
Each Kook gets two bottles per release for a total of 12 bottles for the year.
What size are the bottles?
Kooks Club member release bottles are 500 ml.
How much do the bottles cost?
There is no charge for the member bottles unless you need to have them shipped. They were included in the price of the membership when you signed up.
What if I want to buy extra?
Additional bottles are not available for purchase. If you try to order more bottles in the presale or pick up extra bottles in person, we will not process your order. If we see this happening multiple times, it will be considered a violation of your membership. These are very limited releases, and trying to work the system and get extras prevents other Kooks from being able to get their allotted bottles.
What if I signed up for pickup/delivery/shipping but want to switch to a different method?
Please email email@example.com for any changes to your membership. Please give us as much notice as possible to process any changes but at least 3 days notice if switching from pickup to shipping or delivery and one week’s notice if switching from shipping to pickup or delivery.
When is the first bottle release?
The first bottle will be released sometime in early February. You’ll get an email with details in early January.
When will the other bottles be released?
Bottles will be released about once every two months.
What styles of beer will each bottle be?
Kooks Club beers will be a combination of barrel-aged stouts, pastry stouts, and mixed fermentation saisons/farmhouse ales. These will be the most refined and unique beers we produce in 2021.
Who do I email if I have a question?
All emails should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org for the fastest response. Any emails going to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org may experience delayed responses.
Can I ask a question on Facebook?
You’re free to ask general questions on Facebook. However, we don’t guarantee responses to all questions asked on Facebook, especially ones that require immediate responses. The Facebook group is primary for members to connect with each other. Our communications lead and brewers/owners occasionally pop in to chat, but most questions asked through the group will be answered by other group members rather than us.
Can I ask a question through DM on Instagram or Facebook?
Again, the best place to get immediate help is by emailing email@example.com, but feel free to reach out through DM if that’s more convenient for you. Just let us know you’re a Kook.
Where can I go for up-to-date presale information and pickup timelines?
The Kooks Portal is the best place to go to check on release beers and pickup dates. We try to avoid sending more than one email a week, so any last minute changes will be updated on the portal.
How do I get added to the Kooks Club private Facebook group?
You can request access to the group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kooksclub/. Please give us 2-3 days to approve new members.
Can I invite friends, family, or my proxy to the Kooks Facebook Group?
Because we post presale links and Kooks-only information on this page, only current 2021 Kooks can be a part of the group.
I can’t get the shipping/delivery/pickup option to work for my order. What do I do?
If you have issues ordering, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. It’s always easier for everyone if the order is placed correctly the first time. Making changes to the order after it’s gone through isn’t always possible. Please read the section on Order Changes below.

What else can I try?
When in doubt, try clearing your cache, deleting cookies, and/or switching devices (ie: ordering from mobile rather than desktop or vice versa)
I ordered incorrectly/need to add to my order? What should I do?
We can’t modify orders at all once they are placed. Email us asap at email@example.com, and we may be able to cancel the incorrect order so that you can place a new one. If the label has already been printed, we won’t be able to cancel anymore. As a Kook, you don’t have to rush or worry about missing a release, so please take your time and order carefully.
Can I combine orders?
We have automated software for printing shipping labels. Combining orders involves digging through hundreds of shipping labels, pulling out both labels and destroying them, and creating a new one manually with all the items. We unfortunately don’t have the bandwidth to do this. If you let us know quickly enough (within an hour or so), we may be able to cancel the orders so that you can reorder as one.
Problems With Shipped or Delivered Order
I just got my order, and something is incorrect or was missing. What do I do?
Email firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll get you a replacement out asap!
I ordered __ days ago, and my order still isn’t here. Why not?
Kooks get early access to beer. Sometimes the beer has not yet been canned or bottled, so it seems like it takes awhile to arrive. Generally, if there aren’t any packaging delays, you should expect to receive shipped beer that was ordered the previous Tuesday-Thursday by the following Tuesday. If your beer hasn’t arrived by then, reach out to email@example.com. For beer delivery, we deliver Thursday-Sunday and try to get the beer to you during that window of the week you order. On occasion, it gets rolled over to the following delivery week. Reach out if you want to check the status.
When will I get my member cooler?
The coolers will be ready sometime in February. We’ll have an exact date in early February when we confirm inventory and production timelines.
How much is the cooler?
The price of the cooler was already paid for in your membership fee.
Can I buy extra coolers?
Maybe! Ask us in early February.
I want all the swag. What about Kooks Club t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc?
Extra Kooks Club merch will be available for an extra cost at some point in early 2021 based on demand and will likely be offered in a pre-sale format.
