What Kooks Club memberships are available for 2022?
How much do memberships cost?
Kooks Club memberships cost $350 for the year. Super Kook memberships cost $500 for the year. These prices do not include tax or the Oznr service fee.
What's included in my membership?
2022 Memberships include:

NOTE: Oznr's 3.75% technology fee and the $1/member bottle release fee on the app is not covered in the price of the membership.
What's the fine print?
- Oznr charges a 3.75% technology fee for all transactions.
- Humble Sea reserves the right to pour Kooks Club beers at festivals and for one-off special events. All Kooks Club beers will be the most refined and unique beers we make, so we would like to share these at festivals, on occasion.
-There is a $1 fee per member release to order Kooks Club bottles on Oznr ($5 extra for the year)
-Taproom discount does not apply to taproom specials such as $5 Monday, Gnar Hour, etc.
-Release dates, beers, and variations are subject to change.
-Membership is valid from January 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022
-You must be at least 21 years old as of 1/1/22 to join the Kooks Club.
-Membership is non-transferable.
-Member discount cannot be shared with non-members. However, it can be used to gift beer/merch to friends and family members if paid for by a member.
-Any beer not picked up by the specified dates without prior approval will be forfeited.
-Bottles and tickets obtained through membership are not for resale. Resale will result in membership cancellation. You’re welcome to trade though.
-Humble Sea will not issue refunds for beers sold to members (unless we've made a mistake or the beer is defective).
-Each person is allowed to have a maximum of one membership. If a member is found to have multiple memberships, we reserve the right to cancel and refund the unused portion of all of that person’s memberships.
-Humble Sea retains, at its sole and unconditional discretion, the right to cancel a membership and refund a prorated portion of a member's membership fee for any reason at any time. This is certainly not something we want to do in any situation, but it’s a right we have to reserve if shit gets cray.
Ordering in the Presale
How do I order in the Kooks presale?
All presale items will be available exclusively on the Oznr app starting in 2022. The presale period runs Monday at 5pm through Wednesday at 9am weekly.
Are all public items offered in the presale?
Kooks are offered early access to all canned and bottled beers. We don't guarantee early access to beer boxes, ticketed events, or merch items.
Are there limits set on presale items?
We occasionally set limits for Kooks on small-batch and super sought after brands.
What if I forget to order during the presale period?
Am I guarantee bottles/cans in the presale?
For most releases, members will have no problem ordering as many bottles/cans as they'd like (up to the limit if there is one). Occasionally, we may have a small batch item that could sell out before the end of the Kooks' presale. In these cases, we will remind you in the weekly email to order earlier in the presale just to be safe.
Picking Up Presale Items
How long do I have to pick up public release beers that I bought in the Kooks presale?
All items ordered in the weekly Kooks' presale must be picked up between Friday at 5pm and Sunday at closing of the week they are ordered.
How long do I have to pick up Kooks Club member-only bottle releases?
Kooks Club membership bottles will be available to order in the Oznr app for two consecutive weeks once the bottles are released. They will be available for pick up Friday at 5pm through Sunday by closing of the week they are ordered. (They will not be shipped automatically or stored longer than the weekend)
What if I can’t make it in time to pick up my beer?
Under extenuating circumstances, we may allow an extra day to pick up. This is only allowed if you’ve emailed kooks@humblesea.com before the deadline.
What if I miss my pickup deadline?
If you miss the pickup deadline and don’t give us any heads up about it, your order will be refunded and resold.
What do I need or what does my proxy need to pick up in person?
You or your proxy will just need to show your Oznr order confirmation on your phone to the bartendar to pick up.
I had an issue picking up at the bar. What should I do?
Please be polite to our bartenders. If they’re unable to help you in some way or make a mistake, please handle it by contacting kooks@humblesea.com rather than sorting it out in person if the bartenders are super busy or unable to accommodate you.
What if I signed up to pick up at one location and need to change to another?
We will only accommodate changes to your "home" pickup location under certain circumstances (ex: you move closer to another location). We will not allow sudden changes or week-to-week changes on pickup location.
Shipping
How long does it take to get my shipped presale items?
Kooks have early access to two public releases at once. Usually, items ordered during the presale are not yet packaged. All presale items usually ship by Friday of the week they are ordered and arrive Saturday or Monday. Occasionally, presale items are not shipped until Monday and arrive Tuesday.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free for all member bottles and for all presale orders through March 2022. After that, there will be a $50 minimum for free shipping for presale items.
I need to add/edit/combine orders. Is that possible?
We cannot edit or combine any orders from Oznr. Please order carefully.
What shipping carrier do you use?
All orders containing beer are shipped through GLS. Orders containing only merch are shipped USPS.
What if my order is incorrect, damaged, or missing?
Please keep an eye on your GLS tracking number to monitor any potential delivery issues. GLS will often fail to notify us of problems delivering. We will replace any damaged or lost items and fix any mistakes. Please email kooks@humblesea.com with any order issues.
What if I ordered for pick up but need my items shipped now?
We cannot accommodate changes to shipping or pickup on orders . Please order carefully.
Discounts
What is my discount as a Kook?
Kooks are given 10% off same-day pickup and taproom orders on our Toast platform and for shipping orders on our public shipping site managed by Shopify. Presale items ordered on Oznr are pre-discounted 10% off.
Where does my discount work?
The discount works on anything on our Toast platform (same-day pickup and taproom orders) or on our public shipping site.
Are there any exclusions?
The discount does not apply to subscription boxes, gift cards, or items that are already discounted (ie: $5 Monday).
How do I use my discount?
If you’re purchasing in person, please let the bartender know at the start of the transaction that you are a Kook. If your tab has been closed and a new one opened, do not assume that they will remember to add the discount again. Please remind them.
If you’re purchasing online on Toast, using the QR code at the taproom, or purchasing on our public shipping site, enter your discount code at checkout.
Are there any other discounts?
Kooks will be given 15% off private party bookings at our taproom provided that we are able to host them with COVID restrictions in 2022.
Can I share my discount?
No. Sharing a discount code with anyone who isn’t a 2022 Kook is grounds for removal from the club.
Proxies
How do I designate a proxy?
You can designate a proxy on each order on the Oznr app.
How many proxies am I allowed?
You can update your proxy each time you order on Oznr.
Can I change my proxy?
You're free to change your proxy as many times as you'd like on the Oznr app.
What if someone other than my proxy needs to pick up for me?
Your proxy must match what you have listed on your order. No exceptions.
Member-only Release Bottles
How many member bottle releases are there?
There are five Kooks Club member releases throughout the year.
How many bottles do I get per release?
Each Kook gets two bottles per release for a total of 10 bottles for the year. Super Kooks get three bottles per member release for a total of 15 bottles for the year.
What size are the bottles?
Kooks Club member release bottles are 500 ml.
How much do the bottles cost?
Member bottles are included in the price of your membership. However, Oznr requires each item to be priced at a minimum of $1. To order your allotted member bottles, you will need to pay $1 per release for a total of $5 extra per year. This applies to both shipped bottles and bottles picked up in a taproom.
What if I want to buy extra?
Additional bottles will likely not be available for purchase, but we may consider offering bottles for purchase if inventory allows.
How can I get my member bottles shipped or available for pickup?
Kooks Club membership bottles will be available to order in the Oznr app during the presale period for two consecutive weeks once the bottles are released. They will be available for pick up Friday at 5pm through Sunday by closing of the week they are ordered. (They will not be shipped automatically or stored longer than the weekend)
When is the first bottle release?
The first bottle will be released sometime in early February. You’ll get an email with details sometime in January.
When will the other bottles be released?
Bottles will be released about once every two to three months.
What styles of beer will each bottle be?
Kooks Club beers will be a combination of barrel-aged stouts, pastry stouts, and mixed fermentation saisons/farmhouse ales. These will be the most refined and unique beers we produce in 2022.
Communication
Who do I email if I have a question?
All emails should be directed to kooks@humblesea.com for the fastest response. Any emails going to info@humblesea.com or taproom@humblesea.com may experience delayed responses.
Can I ask a question on Facebook?
You’re free to ask general questions on Facebook. However, we don’t guarantee responses to all questions asked on Facebook, especially ones that require immediate responses. The Facebook group is primary for members to connect with each other. Our communications lead and brewers/owners occasionally pop in to chat, but most questions asked through the group will be answered by other group members rather than us.
Can I ask a question through DM on Instagram or Facebook?
The best place to get immediate help is by emailing kooks@humblesea.com. Questions asked through DM may experience a delayed response.
Where can I go for up-to-date presale information and pickup timelines?
The Kooks Portal is the best place to go to check on release beers and pickup dates. We try to avoid sending more than one email a week, so any last minute changes will be updated on the portal.
How do I get added to the Kooks Club private Facebook group?
You can request access to the group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kooksclub/. Please give us 2-3 days to approve new members.
Can I invite friends, family, or my proxy to the Kooks Facebook Group?
Because we post presale links and Kooks-only information on this page, only current 2022 Kooks can be a part of the group.
Member Merch
What is the merch item for 2022?
The Yeti colsters will be ready sometime in February. We’ll have an exact date in early February when we confirm inventory and production timelines.
How much is the colster?
The price of the colster was already paid for in your membership fee.
Can I buy extra Yeti colsters?
Maybe! Ask us in early February.
I want all the swag. What about Kooks Club t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc?
Extra Kooks Club merch may be available in 2022 based on demand and will likely be offered in a pre-sale format.
